Certain antioxidant phytonutrients and two flavonoids—quercetin and kaempferol—are now known to be provided by quinoa in especially concentrated amounts. In fact, the concentration of these two flavonoids in quinoa can sometimes be greater than their concentration in high-flavonoid berries. What better way to start the day?
80 ml Yoghurt - Low Fat Natural
120 ml Orange juice
40 g Quinoa
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
16 g Raisins
- Add the quinoa, orange juice, raisins and cinnamon into a pan.
- Bring to the boil, reduce the heat the allow to simmer for 20 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from the heat and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
- Spoon into a bowl and top with the yoghurt.
